CHECK-IN
Check-in at Kingmont International Airport is very simple.
Step 1: Enter any terminal after parking and taking the shuttle bus or being dropped off on the departures level. There are two roadway levels, Departures and Arrivals.
Step 2: Follow the signs to your airline's check-in desk. Each terminal has check-in desks organized by airline.
Step 3: *optional* If you have already checked-in online, you just need to drop your checked baggage off and you don't need to get a ticket. KIA has self-service check-in desks to make your trip to the airport fast, simple, and enjoyable. Plus, since KIA is part of the Global Airports Alliance, there are many features you can take advantage of. For more information, visit the GAA page on our website here.
SECURITY
Security, like checking in, is meant to be efficient and simple at KIA.
Step 1:After you leave the check-in desks with your ticket and carry-on luggage, proceed to security.
Step 2: There are usually about ten lines you can enter, and the two lines on the far right are meant for international passengers with more carry-on luggage and passports (if your terminal has any international flights). Follow all the security procedures (more information on that here and here).
Step 3: After you leave the security line and collect your items, you are finished with security.
GETTING TO YOUR FLIGHT
After going through security at the main terminal, there are a few simple steps to boarding your flight on-time and easily.
Step 1: Follow signs to all gates. NOTE: If you're in Terminal 1, gates 1 and 2 are located right after security, while the rest are just a short walk away. If you're in Terminal 2 and are flying Hawaiian, your flight departs at a remote stand and will require a short bus ride over to the plane (there will be signs for the bus location). If you're in Terminal 5, all flights are boarded on the apron (outside).
Step 2: View the monitors located around each terminal to find out your flight's gate.
Step 3: Board your flight!
ARRIVING & GETTING TO BAGGAGE CLAIM
After you land and exit your gate at KIA, you simply follow the signs back to the baggage claim. This will also take you to the arrivals roadway level, where there are many transportation options.
